Electric vans 13

All 13 vans →

Vans for freight that a category B licence may drive. The figure on each card is the list price where anyone has published one; the chips under it are the battery, the range and the cargo space.

What fills a van overnight or in an hour: a wallbox at home or at work, a DC charger for a depot, and the solar panels and storage that can stand behind them. The figure on each card is the charging power.

What a category B licence may drive

The rule that decides which vans are on this site, and why an electric van is allowed to be heavier than a diesel one.

3.5 t, alwaysA category B licence has always covered a vehicle of up to 3,500 kg, with a trailer of up to 750 kg. That is where the classic panel van sits.
4.25 t, because of the batteryA battery is heavy, and a van built on the same body would fall over the 3.5 t line. Europe lets a B licence drive an alternatively fuelled vehicle — electric, hydrogen — of up to 4,250 kg, as long as the extra weight really comes from the powertrain and the payload does not go up with it.
Being put into national law nowThe modernised European driving licence rules came into force on 25 November 2025. Member States have two years for the part about alternatively fuelled vehicles; several countries already allowed it before that, each with its own conditions, often a few hours of training and goods transport only.

Your own country's law is what counts: check it before you put a 4.25 t van on the road, and the sheet of each van says what its maker publishes about its weight. Source: European Commission, 25 November 2025.

1Open a listing

Every van and every charger has a sheet: the same rows for all of its kind, pre-filled from what the maker, the press or a report has published, with a link next to every value.

2Type what you know

A price from a quote, the real range of your own van in winter, the cargo volume from the brochure. Type straight into the row. Nothing is lost while you type.

3Save and confirm

Press Save, then the link in the e-mail you get. Only then is the change on the page for everyone, with your name in the sheet's history. Your e-mail address is never shown.

Heavier than 4.25 t? The same sheets for heavy electric trucks, their chargers and their batteries are on eTrucksAndChargers.com, and the cost calculators behind them on eTRUCKTCO.eu.
